"Get the triple! The singles are cute - but truly are a thin patty. Delicious but much better with a good stack. Photos here are the triple vs the singles. I got it with extra cheese. Great service. Lovely staff and amazing burger. Perfect local place for a late lunch."

"When I moved to NYC in 1997, I never made the rounds to taste the food I could only get in Michigan & have been dreaming about for almost 30 years now. … I wish I had made the trek to the spot itself, That would have been epic, but instead had them delivered. These burgers saved my life countless times from alcohol poisoning back in the 90s. I’m not sure if I ever had these sober until today and brothers and sisters let me tell you: they still hit. The regular burger tasted exactly as I remember them. Tongue don’t lie. A wave of memories of my life here came back to me: some bad but most good. I don’t remember ever having coneys at HH back in the 90s. The one I had had solid chili but the wieners lacked snap and is thicker than I like. Pause. The fries and onion rings didn’t hold up to delivery, these need to be eaten there or no longer than 10 min ride. Even an air fryer couldn’t resuscitate them back to life. Epic fail. The shakes were solid. As were the kids when I dropped them off at the pool the next day. My stomach was forged from the volcanos of the pacific islands I came from. Another trip down memory lane on this Michigan trip. Hope it won’t be another 28 years until I have these sliders again, but you never know. The spots along Life’s winding roads should never be taken for granted. Even if some of the memories are bad, the good memories will always make the reunion worth it."

"Classic, comfortable, and affordable Driving up to Hunter House, you get the feel of nostalgia. Quaint parking lot, all white building, and billowing smoke mixed with that unmistakable aroma of burgers on the grill. The inside looks almost unchanged from the '50s with the stainless steel lunch counter-tops, spinning stools, and open concept so you could see the magic happen. The staff had great comradery and chatter behind the counter making it a jovial and lively feel. Meanwhile, a constant stream of patrons, young and old, came by both the walk-up to-go window and dine-in options to feast. The burgers themselves: Excellent. Great cheese melt. The buns are not too cakey and absorb the grease without becoming the central part of the eating. And the burger was steeped in the grease of the hundred or so patties that came before it- all of this culminating in a scrumptious and pleasant experience."

"Went last night and got a couple double cheeseburgers a fry and a chocolate shake. Everything was great. The burgers were perfection and the shake had the perfect amount of sweetness to offset the burgers. For working out of a food truck and tent they are doing a great job. Always love stopping by hunter house."
